The Americans
Prestižna nagrada Emmy ove će se godine po 68. put dodijeliti najboljim televizijskim ostvarenjima. Svjedoci smo rastućeg trenda sve bolje i bolje (da ne kažemo izvrsne) produkcije televizijskog sadržaja zadnjih godine, dok je sve veći broj različitih serijala doslovno preplavio televizijski eter. Definitivno prevladavaju one dramskog, romantičnog, krimi i triler žanra, dok uviđamo nastalu promjenu u formatu humorističnih serija, tj. sitcoma.
House of Cards
Od prošlogodišnjih četrnaest nominiranih serija u glavnim kategorijama drame i komedije, ove godine imamo samo četiri nova kandidata za nagrade, i to po dvije u svakoj kategoriji. Svakako je iznenađenje izostanak popularne Orange Is The New Black, koja je tek prije koji tjedan pustila u eter svoju najnoviju, dugo iščekivanu sezonu. No, s druge strane novost su nominirane The Americans, The Robot i Master Of None. The Americans do sada su bili (tako se barem čini) ignorirani, a ove godine, osim ove nominacije, Matthew Rhys i Keri Russel nominirani su i u glumačkim kategorijama.
The Night Manager
Najviše nominacija dobile su serije Game of Thromes i American Crime Story: The People v O.J. Simpson, dok su očekivano nominirani dosadašnji favoriti Homeland, House of Cards, Downton Abbeyja i Modern Family, u svojim pripadajućim kategorijama. Dodjelu nagrada 18. rujna vodi ABC-jev komičar Jimmy Kimmel što će svakako razveseliti sve poklonike njegovog showa i specifičnog humora.
